Our Kindergarten teacher has a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. Our Kindergarten Teacher adopts a play based curriculum approach with intentional teaching strategies to prepare the children for the following year of formalised schooling.
We have a comprehensive transition to school program. Over the years we have established strong partnerships with the local schools enabling us to gather expectations for school entry. We schedule in school orientation visits during Term 4 to ensure all children have a sense of belonging from their first day of Prep.
Our Kindergarten children often venture out in to our local community on excursions to gain an understanding of their role within the local community, and of course see what our beautiful suburb of Tarneit has to offer.
Throughout the Kindergarten year, a child’s right to experience the joy of childhood is fundamental. Learning is promoted through play, and spontaneous and planned learning experiences and interactions.
Nutrition plays an important role in the development and growth of children. Our aim is to educate and provide children with a healthy balanced diet so they can use this knowledge and healthy eating habit as a lifelong skill.
Our educational curriculum has been carefully designed to cater for each individual child’s strengths and interests. Our curriculum is centred on the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Early Childhood Developmental Domains. We foster children’s physical, cognitive, social, spiritual and emotional development through the goals we set and experiences we provide.
